Astronomy & Nature Weekend – Guthega

Brindabella Ski Club is pleased to offer our 2026 Astronomy & Nature weekend at Guthega on the 13th-15th of February 2026.

This year, in addition to stargazing, we have invited naturalist and science communicator, Stuart Harris, to do a presentation to us on the Saturday covering specific Alpine fauna, which will likely include a walk. The astronomy will occur on Saturday night (and potentially Friday, if circumstances are favourable) and will be hosted by Bill Frost and Warwick Anderson of the Canberra Astronomical Society. We won’t be covering theory or “Astronomy 101” as we expect many guests to have seen this previously. The focus will be stargazing allowing everyone to have a look.

COST

$80 for adults and $60 for children (includes Saturday lunch & dinner).

All other meals are self catered. Please include any allergies in your feedback form.

ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation rates are the standard member rates for Tiobunga in summer and we are also offering Thursday 12 FEB as “3 for 2” offer for those wanting to stay a little longer. (We may overflow into Kyilla depending upon final numbers). There is a minimum 2 night stay for the Fri & Saturday 13 & 14 FEB.
