The club is governed by a committee of volunteers from within the club. The committee has existed since the club’s inception in 1951 and it is well understood by members that the club would not be in the position it is without the continued dedication, leadership and continuous efforts of the committee. The committee meets on a monthly basis, and once each year face-to-face at one of our lodges.

All committee positions are declared vacant at the AGM and an election is conducted. Full Adult and Life Members are able to nominate for committee positions with training and mentoring is provided by the committee and previous occupants of committee roles. Committee Roles are:

You may be considering ways to enhance your resume and skill set; or you may be seeking an opportunity to learn something new and/or network with individuals with a shared love of the mountains and diverse experiences.
