Mark Carey: The absolute hero of the weekend. Mark pushed through intense abdominal pain to lay down a blistering run, finishing as our top male in the GS (7th overall).
Jack Hartican: Pure grit on display! After taking falls in both his Slalom and GS runs, Jack fought back mid-course both times to cross the finish line and log official times for the team. The rest of the squad rallied behind him to lay down fast times and keep our overall team score right at the top!
Setting Our Sights on 2027
While taking 2nd overall is a massive achievement, we’re already eyeing the top spot for next season:
Slalom Sharpening: Slalom proved to be our toughest discipline. Adding dedicated gate training prior to next year’s event will give us a major competitive edge.
Cross-Country Preparation: We got a reprieve with Cross-Country being cancelled this year, but we can’t count on that twice! Building up our XC participation and fitness will ensure we sweep maximum points across all four disciplines in 2027.
Shoutout to Our Hill Volunteers
A massive thank you to William Hilton-Thorp, Ginny Hoy, and Katherine Ellinghausen! Race events simply cannot happen without dedicated volunteer support, and your work on the mountain kept everything running smoothly.
