Kosciuszko Thredbo Pty Ltd will be undertaking a rabbit control program in November running for approximately 3 weeks.
The program is being undertaken to minimise the impact and damage caused by the introduced European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus).
Initial free-feeding of rabbits has commenced and will be followed by the laying of Pindone treated carrots from Monday 1st November.
The treatment areas will include the village, golf course and lower ski slopes.
Advisory signage will be in place and carrots will be contained within bait stations (2m x 2m steel cages) to limit non-target exposure.
Residents and guests are asked to avoid these bait stations and not to touch or remove bait.
