Linen

  • It is a health requirement that all guests bring their own bed linen (sheets & a pillowcase) and towel to the lodge.
  • The Club does NOT provide these or rent them out.
  • If you forget to pack these, there are supermarkets in Cooma and Jindabyne.
  • Details of bed sizes are available in the Lodge Operations Guide.

Preventing the spread of illness

If you or a member of your party has become unwell or developed cold or flu-like symptoms, contact the Administration Manager immediately to assess your compliance status. You should consider a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) prior to your trip.

Arriving at the lodge

  • 5pm is the check-in time for all lodges. If you wish to ski on the day you arrive, you may enter the lodge prior to 5pm to collect gear from your locker (Guthega only).
  • Check the trip list on the notice board in the lodge before moving in to your room after 5pm as your allocated room may have changed.
  • You may enter the lodge and use common facilities such as the lounge room prior to 5pm.
  • If you wish to ski on the day of your arrival,  you may store your luggage in the day storage room (Waragun & Tiobunga only).
  • You may access your room after 5pm. This is to allow the Lodge Manager to mop bathroom floors and prepare the lodge for incoming guests.
  • Please check your name off the triplist on the Noticeboard so the Lodge Leader knows you arrived safely.
  • If you are going to arrive late after your booked arrival date, please let the Lodge Manager know.
  • Check the jobs list to identify which lodge job has been allocated to your room.

Departing the lodge

  • You must complete your lodge job, clean your room, replenish supplies in your room, close your room curtains and vacate your allocated room by 3.30pm.
  • Remove all your food from your fridge space and any freezers.
  • If you wish to ski on the day of your departure, you may store your luggage in the day storage room (Waragun & Tiobunga only).
  • You may use common areas such as the lounge room after 3:30 pm but luggage and food is not to be stored there. All your luggage and food must be removed from the lodge by 5pm.

Room allocation

Guests must not change rooms. Room allocations take into consideration all guests arrival and departure dates. Best efforts are made to limit room sharing to families or groups that are travelling together. This is detailed in the BSC Booking Rules. Check the trip list on the notice board in the lodge before moving in to your room after 5pm as your allocated room may have changed.

Fill with alpine diesel

Diesel can turn to gel in cold temperatures causing problems with starting and running. In winter, diesel sold in alpine areas is formulated to lower the temperature at which this occurs. Fill your tank in an alpine area such as Jindabyne or Cooma to avoid problems. Petrol cars do not have this problem.

Park in a Brindabella Ski Club spot (Thredbo)

Brindabella Ski Club has 12 parking spaces adjacent to Waragun lodge and along the back of the carpark near the creek in locations shown below. These spaces have a locked chain across them. The key is attached to a length of timber hanging in the lodge foyer. Please park in a lodge space to leave public spaces available for the public. Note that on occasions Thredbo’s public parking may be full resulting in cars being turned back at the NPWS entrance station. If you are staying at the lodge you can show the officials at the entrance station the trip list to demonstrate that you are booked in and this note to demonstrate that the lodge has allocated parking.

Note that cars have been damaged in the parking spot closest to the front door of the lodge due to snow dropping from the lodge roof. For this reason, this spot is occasionally closed during and after snowfall.
