As part of the range of non-winter activities being offered by the Brindabella Ski Club to members, we are once again offering a Wildflowers, Walking and Wine tasting weekend for Friday 9th January – Sunday 11th January 2026.
For this event we have collaborated with Mount Tumbarumba Vineyard for the wine tasting and two of our club members, Jenny Kelly and Kerryn Milligan, who have offered to organise the weekend.
FRIDAY NIGHT
– On arrival to Guthega, guests will be offered a glass of sparkling and a snacklette at Tiobunga lodge.
SATURDAY
– Participants will drive to Charlotte Pass in the morning and walk the 9km track back to Guthega. Participants will be asked to do some car sharing and assist after the walk to drop drivers back to cars left at Charlotte Pass.
– remember to bring a hat, sunscreen, water bottle, warm clothing, and rain jacket as conditions in the mountains can change quickly.
– Elvie from Mount Tumbarumba Vineyard will have wines available for tasting accompanied by cheese and charcuterie plates. (Some wine will be available for purchase to enjoy with dinner for those who choose to do so).
DINNER – Pizza
– The event organisers will arrange for pizza dough to be prepared and provide tomato base, cheese and ham for the pizzas. (If you prefer different/additional toppings you will need to to bring them).
Please note that all other meals across the weekend will be self catering.
COSTS
– The cost for the weekend will be $50 per adult to cover the costs of food and wine. Participants will be invoiced closer to the event.
– The usual Summer weekend accommodation rates will apply to stay at Tiobunga and Kyilla (min. 2 night stay for Friday & Saturday nights). CLICK HERE to view the Booking Rules & Rates document.
